clap your hands

they just released their new album … and I can’t stop listening to it — the third(!) time in repeat mode (since 10:38cet): The Herbaliser «Same As It Never Was». Soul and Jazz and Hip Hop — Soul in the year 2008.

While doing my work I can’t stop clapping my hands.

Ben, this for you.

dubbbb mixes

last night I cleaned my download folder and stumbled about a DJ mix by Volfoniq (#024), Member of the RadioDadio Dub Collective …

… and realized it’s much easier to get their great mixes via the podcast function of iTunes:

Advanced → Subscribe to Podcast → paste in the podcast address url

Life can be so easy.

oy, good schmattes

I grew up w/ the soundtrack of “Fiddler on the Roof”. My grandmother played it and my grandfather too. And when I hear some tunes of it I can smell my grandfathers place.

But I never watched the movie, don’t know why.

Tonight we watched the complete 3 hrs. And it was great.

And here is my favorite:

this makes me cry …

… and don’t know why (but I don’t care if no one feels the same)

props goes to Lila and Tertia

and the most intense time of listening is at night when my loves are sleeping and i have to do some work. creative stuff or just leftovers from days or weeks … and RIGHT NOW – headphones attached to my headTHIS GREAT SOUND is plucking into my brain. 39 minutes of pure dope.

no ordinary day

It started just as a ordinary day. checked e-mails. said to my feedreader go grab me some fresh news… and it said to me: hey, Beaucoup Kevin done a muxtape last night, maybe you should check it out. and I did. and my soundsystem said: go and start your day dancing. funkin’ wild. and still i’m dancing. can’t stop. it’s like living in a musical. funk. soul. disco.

this is NOT an ordinary day. thank you kevin.
